too ra loo ra loo

i have had a really good weekend so far, busy and full of smiles. honestly? it makes for a nice change. sometimes i feel like the weekends are more boring than the work week because they're always filled with chores. and chores suck, as you know. but it makes a huge difference when there are other things that make the chores seem less daunting. so yay.

anyway, yesterday was kelkel's birthday, and after a whole ""birthday week" our last present was to take off half a day and celebrate. celebrate = have someone hack open our faces. hey, i had a gift certificate to get something pierced so i jumped on the opportunity.

yes, well, don't look to closely, i'm a bit spotty at the moment.

at any rate, a lovely time was had by all.

yesterdat, we were busy, but in a good way. i think i've been more awake than i have in a while. we went hiking, and out to lunch, and all the outside crap i had been putting off- like raking and watering the yard- were like a piece of cake.

and by nightfall i felt very satisfied indeed.

today was more of our lazy day, tho it doesn't really feel like we were all that lazy. i had to eventually do all the crappy chores, laundry and grocery shopping, but the past couple of days have kind of carried me over.

i'm so glad that spring is on it's way. the weather has been rceord-breaking warm the last week or so and i think it may have played a hand in everyone feeling a little lighter and brighter.

other than this lovely weekend, there's nothing to report.
